The pupils of Scoil Mhuire Lourdes had an action packed National Science Week as the girls in all the classes got involved in exciting experiments and hands-on workshops. “Amazing”, “Unbelievable”, “Exciting” and “Wow” were some of the comments expressed as the girls immersed themselves in sourcing information and discovering through experiments and Nature Trails.
Dave Treadwell of “Naturally Wild” had the full attention of 3rd class in Tullow Library when he got them discussing dinosaurs from “Down Under”. The girls were delighted to hear about archaeological finds of dinosaur bones and tracks in Australia. They were even more delighted to be able to handle real dinosaur bones and fossils.
